There are so many theories flying around about the Non-Magical Students' dormitory that I don't even know what to believe. I'm pretty sure I saw a Hitwizard though so it has to be serious. Between the graffiti yesterday and whatever is going on here, this is getting ridiculous. It should not be so difficult for people just to live and to have access to education. This isn't the 20th century, folks.
I am curious though, why the Non-Magical Students decided to come here. Obviously I have nothing against Non-Magical people, since my grandparents are all Muggles and I'm planning on living the Muggle life (not like Sarah-Jane and Ada's) for a while after I leave school to see if it inspires me at all, but if I were them I think I would rather keep attending a Muggle school so I could be eligible for a good Uni afterward. I'd study art, of course. That's my only qualm right now with Hogwarts - I'm glad I'm here but I still would like to study at Oxford or something and I really don't know how I'll manage that. We'll see I guess.
For the record, I hate these Real Magic people. If they want my opinion, they have to talk to Dibbler first.

Three days until the election.
While I admire what Lorcan says about how you should vote for whoever you want to vote for, I am still going to think you're an idiot if you vote for Selwyn. I'm not saying I completely agree with MacMillian - I like his main ideas but I don't think he's going to go as far with them as I think our country needs and I don't really think that stimulus bills will help us much - I'd rather see him thinking more outside the box, but he's certainly loads better than Selwyn. Electing him (with his bullshit platform on "protecting wizards and witches rights by not allowing werewolves any") is just a giant step backward for our country after all the progress that Shacklebolt made.
I'm not saying he was perfect either, but he's certainly done a pretty decent job with what he was given to work with.
Right, and five days until we go to Greece. |

I really can't stand this Judith Mortlake-Dunstan. I've been meaning to get it out of my system for a while now, but I really, really can't stand her. This entire "Men's Snoggable Lip Gloss" kick she's on? It's ridiculous.
I mean, I'm sure she thinks she's being a feminist, but this is really just supporting the false idea that in order for women and men to be equal, women have to be like men, which is completely ridiculous and completely against what REAL feminists stand for. It just disgusts me, the whole thing.
Right, and this is horrible about MacMillan, but I think everything that needs to be said has been said in the corridors all day today. I'm sure he'll be all right though. |

Uncle Kirley wrote in his letter today that he's being honoured by the The Society for Distressed Witches at a banquet today. I really don't get it, since he's neither a witch nor distressed. He's also writing a song about the duel between Tristan and Giant Morholt.
I apparently have nothing interesting left to talk about now that Intermural Quidditch is over. |

Thanks everyone for the birthday post. I know it's been a few days now but my birthday was real fun. The four of us and Uncle Kirley went out to Orsino's restaurant on Saturday and then we had everyone over on Sunday. It's really neat to be able to actually use magic whenever I'd like now, though what I like more is knowing the Trace is gone. Big Brother is gone - or at least in theory. I wouldn't put it past the Ministry still.
If you sent anything after the 3rd, I haven't gotten it yet, I'm sorry. I've moved out two days ago and am living with Dieter now. |

I've been totally inspired by Rosalie Gascoigne lately - she's an Australian sculptress from the 20th century and her work is amazing. Uncle Kirley introduced me to her. Her work has this amazing feel to it - really sad, if you will. Sad is good though, I like sad.
I've been real busy lately with a piece I've been working on, inspired by her. It's not just "like" hers though, since it's definitely not sad. I've taken a picture, if you're interested. I think Donaghan is going to put it up in the library.

I've also been down to Diagon Alley today, and I might just so happen to be there a lot more for a bit. There's a stockboy at Worldly Spirits that met today when I tripped over his bucket as he washed the windows - he's called Dieter and he's from Germany and he's a musician. He's given up magic for an entire year, so he came over here on a Muggle aeroplane, if you can believe it! We got a cup of coffee on his lunchbreak but ended up talking so much that he was late getting back.
I'm going back tomorrow to meet him for dinner right after his shift is over. |

So, while I'm pretty sure that I might be able to get away with a drink at a pub, buying a bunch of liquor for Skye's party is probably out of the question. Therefore, I'm going to see if any of Donaghan's mates will buy it for me, but I wanted to see if anyone wants to put in any orders, since I'm sure some of you lot might not have anyone to buy for you.
You've got to promise to pay up, though, since I'm not made of money. I might be able to convince one of them to pay for some, but no promises. Or maybe just promise me something in return later on, since I really hate money.

Ewan and I broke up. On the train home, and now I really hope he's not planning on coming to Skye's party because it would be horribly awkward since we were dating for six months and I really just want to have fun.
The break up was really weird, too. I think he hates me.
If he shows up, I'm just going to get really piss-drunk and have a great time anyway. Everyone, please make sure I don't make a fool out of myself?
